The «Mediterranean Forum. Humanities and Social Sciences» was held from March 17th to March 19th 2016 in Marseille, at the MuCEM and the Villa Méditerranée, in order to present to a wide audience the projects developed by the Laboratories of Excellence (Programme Investissement d’Avenir – Future Investment Program) and their partners in the Human and Social Sciences on Mediterranean studies.
This scientific meeting, organized by LabexMed in collaboration with Labex ArcHiMedE, OT-Med, RESMED, and with the MuCEM, welcomed more than 350 participants, who were invited to attend the inaugural conference by Professor Laurence Whitehead, the thematic sessions, roundtables, documentary film screenings and the inaugural concert.
